The importance of the Community Builder: This is how Elena Mullor lives it
If what you like are cats and transport you a little to the Valencian Community, Elena Mullor is your Community Builder. Always attentive to assist you in CREC Eixample, Elena was born in Alcoy but she is already a barcelonian. A journalist by training, you’ll always find her at the helm of our social networks… And in this blog, when she’s not the interviewer!
“We are responsible for the space and the people, and we have to do everything we need to make our community feel at ease”
After just one year as Community Builder, Elena believes that our figure is in charge of “being in charge of everything. We are responsible for the space and the people, and we have to do everything we need to make our community feel at ease,” she says. She also believes that it is a “new professional profile that is very specific and can help people to grow in different areas.
Before starting to work at CREC Eixample and after graduating as a journalist, she went to Greece to do a European volunteering to work in a magazine of cultural dissemination: “Since I was a child I have always loved writing and reading, and when I was a teenager I was very interested in the world of social networks and digital journalism”.
“It’s part of CREC’s philosophy: that coworkers feel at home also in the coworking space”
Elena considers that the job of Community Builder is quite related to her training. But she has also been able to develop other professional skills: “I really enjoy the visits from people looking for a coworking space in Barcelona. Showing them around the space, talking to them about what we do and finding out what they think is interesting“, she says.
In addition, from the beginning he has been careful to apply the values of CREC Coworking. “I think our community expects to find a person with whom they can talk, with whom they can discuss their situation, and with whom they can sometimes start a friendship beyond work. It’s part of the CREC philosophy, that coworkers feel at home in the coworking space as well”.
“I am very surprised by the team’s ability to be flexible, to understand every situation and to be able to feel that you are part of something”
Our Community Builder defines herself as an “Empathetic, kind and responsible” person. And that, without a doubt, makes her fit in perfectly with the rest of the team: “Now, summer 2022, I am very surprised by the team’s ability to be flexible, to understand every situation and to be able to feel that you are part of something. Both internally and externally, at CREC they don’t judge you, and I think that’s a very important part of the whole process.”
But Elena does not think she is identical to the rest of her colleagues: “I think I bring a different vision of social networks and also, being the ‘new’ one, I have helped to develop new ideas with the rest of the ‘team’, she points out. What is clear is that she has already become an indispensable part of CREC Coworking and wants to continue for a long time!
“CREC is a coworking for all kinds of people, with very important values, with clear ideas and where the priority has been, are and will be our coworkers”
And thinking about the future, Elena believes that CREC must maintain its essence regardless of its growth: “CREC Coworking is already a well-known brand in Barcelona, and I think that even if it evolves and grows, the base will always be present. A coworking for all kinds of people, with very important values, with clear ideas and in which the priority has been, are and will be our coworkers,” he concludes.
You know: If you are in the center of Barcelona and want to meet someone interesting, do not hesitate to stop by CREC Eixample and make a visit with her 😉
