Marc Bertomeu: Coworker at CREC and Co-founder of NextStage

Today we talk with Marc Bertomeu, coworker at CREC and and co-founder of NextStage is someone juggling multiple exciting projects. On one hand, he works for Skweek Brand Solutions, a company based in Monaco, Barcelona, and Paris that specialises in the basketball world. On the other, he’s the co-founder of NextStage, a promising new initiative that’s set to make waves. Let’s get to know him!

 

Marc, tell us a bit about your current work.

I currently collaborate mainly with Skweek Brand Solutions, a company operating in the basketball sector. We create valuable content, organise events, manage ticketing, and stream EuroLeague matches, among other things. It’s a very dynamic company with offices in Barcelona, Paris, and Monaco.

 

And you’ve also launched a new project, right?

Yes, since September I’ve been fully involved in a project I’m really excited about: NextStage, a company I started with two partners. We focus on renting large sports venues, like the Joventut de Badalona arena, to host concerts, events, and large-scale activities. We don’t fully manage any venues yet, as most of them are publicly owned and getting the necessary permits takes time, but we’re making steady progress.

What do you think about life at CREC Coworking?

I love what you do. Even though I haven’t been able to join any breakfasts or vermouths yet because of scheduling conflicts, I really enjoy following the events you organise. Most days I work alone, so I’m hoping to attend something soon, meet the community, and get out of the office a bit.
